ProSelect Landscape combines two perennial ryegrasses with a strong creeping red fescue to form a multipurpose, hard wearing, turf seed blend for high quality lawns, landscaping and recreational areas.
Suggested application period
When reseeding or overseeding an area it is crucial that the seed is sown in the correct conditions. The temperature needs to be right for the seed to take. Frost and cold conditions can kill the seed as well as hot periods and droughts will also mean the seed will burn and not take. The ideal conditions are when the weather is warm, with plenty of sun and the ground is moist either by rain or a sprinkler or irrigation system. Autumn and Spring are the ideal seasons for over seeding and reseeding.
Why overseed or reseed?
The unprecedented drought and heat we have had this year the grass has been under a particular amount of stress and many of the plants have burnt off leaving areas of grass patchy and thin. Overseeding is a great way to thicken up and rejuvenate your lawn whilst also getting a consistent species of grass leaving a uniform finish.
Application methods
The correct application of seed is crucial for consistent and the best results. Our range of spreaders offer an accurate way to apply the seed using the easy to read charts on the back of the bag. Correct application will result in a uniform finish, less wasted product and will prevent clumps of grass growing.
