John Deere Certified Used is a new program that brings consistent, transparent standards to selected used machines.
How it works
– Certified Used machines are Expert Checked using John Deere’s Expert Check process, and receive an official certification level (Premium, Select, Select 5+)
– PowerGard™ options are applied to eligible machines.
In the UK program, Certified Used currently applies to selected John Deere machine families, including:
– Tractors: 6M, 6R, 7R, 8R
– Combines: T Series and S Series
– Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters (SPFH): 8000 and 9000 series
Certification level
Certified Used machines are graded into one of three certification levels, based on age, hours and condition:
– Premium – selected newer, low-hour machines that meet the program’s highest used standard.
– Select – machines in strong condition that meet the program standard and represent excellent value.
– Select 5+ – older machines that meet the program standard and remain clean and operational.
PowerGard™ for Used Equipment
PowerGard™ for Used Equipment can be offered on eligible Certified Used machines, subject to program rules. Options typically include Protection and Protection Plus, with available term lengths depending on machine eligibility.
In simple terms:
– PowerGard Protection – covers key power-transmitting components.
– PowerGard Protection Plus – provides broader coverage across additional systems (subject to eligibility).
Availability and eligibility depend on model, age and hours, and may vary by certification level.
